Personally I have played alot of other online strategy games and I have found S1914 to be one of the best. The time era that We are playing was non-technical to say the least most units had to rely on pidgeons and runners to convey orders. Artillery firing was haphazard at best let alone automatic firing on the next closest enemy. As far as onlining and the "unfairness" well then and now some commanders don't think being in field is neccessary (history has shown this to be a bad decission(w/h our tech there is no reason to check your games only once every day or two.) I think the devs have done a very good job of creating a WWI era strategy game yes there may be discrepances (armour vs cavalry, the prevalence of rail guns the lack of sea mines) but in the long run my attention has been held by this game much longer than any other I have played to date
